Hatha Yoga offers many benefits, including relief from stress, improved flexibility
and strength and a general feeling of wellbeing. My aim in teaching is to
share these and other benefits which I gain from Yoga.
The classes are open to beginners as well as those with some experience.
My Yoga classes combine stretches, postures (asanas), breathing practices
(pranayama), relaxation and meditation. I emphasise the importance of awareness
and listening to the body – this ensures safe practice and also helps
to quieten the mind and enhance the calming effect of Yoga practice.
Whilst Yoga has its roots in Hindu philosophy it is not a religion. For some
people Yoga forms a part of their spiritual practice but this is not a requirement
or expectation.
