1,000 WAYS TO SAY NO

A new movement called "Diverse Women for Diversity that are for the protection and celebration of cultural and biological diversity, will be formally launched at the 4th Conference of the Parties of the Convention of Biological Diversity, in Bratislava in May. They would like the governments who meet in Bratislava to hear what women are saying about genetic engineering and patents on life.

This is a call for creative pages about your activities for the book 1000 Ways To Say No - a witness to resistance against genetic engineering, patents on life and biopiracy. Activists of all kinds who have been engaged in the movement against the above :are being asked to contribute to the publication by designing their own A4 page. The page should include info about your group and/or actions, in whatever form you like (text, pictures, photos etc.).

Since they need to produce it (in India) before the end of April, they need your one page contributions by March 27 at the very latest and they would really appreciate it if you could let them know, if you are planning on submitting a page, by March 20. Send pages to: 1000 Ways, c/o GAIA, 18 Well Walk, London, NW3 1LD, fax: 01714310551 email:gaia@gaiafund.gn.apc.org
