DEBATE ON GMOs

A very successful debate on GM Food took place in Oxford on 17th November. Three to five hundred people attended to hear five speakers debate "Are GM foods safe, and are they Necessary?" and then to answer questions from the floor. By the end of the evening it was abundantly clear that the overwhelming majority of those present would like to see these foods banned.

Publicity for the debate in itself served to raise awareness throughout the whole county of Oxfordshire on the issue of GE as well as attracting a large turn out at the debate itself.
